VICTIM SUPPORT
The Victims Support Section (VSS) serves as the ECCC’s dedicated interface to victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. VSS supported the filing of victim applications to the Extraordinary Chambers during the judicial phase, conducts outreach to victims, and assists lawyers representing victims (called civil parties) in legal proceedings.
WITNESS SUPPORT
The Witness and Expert Support Unit (WESU) supports the appearance of witnesses, experts and civil parties before the Extraordinary Chambers at all stages of the judicial process.
