The International Co-Prosecutor’s second Introductory Submission was filed naming two individuals, Meas Muth and Sou Met for investigation

Case 003 mainly concerned allegations against Meas Muth, following the death of Sou Met during the investigation phase.

  • Crimes committed by the DK Navy in Cambodian territorial waters and islands
  • Crimes committed against members of Divisions 164, 502, 310 and 117

Judicial
Proceedings

The Co-Investigating Judges reached opposite conclusions on whether Meas Muth fell within the personal jurisdiction of the ECCC. The National Co-Investigating Judge dismissed the case against him, while the International Co-Investigating Judge indicted him for various crimes. The Supreme Court Chamber terminated the case due to the absence of a definite and enforceable indictment.
