OCP holds a week-long training course on legal and practical issues

OCP holds a week-long training course on legal and practical issues relevant to the work of the OCP. Led by Professor David Cohen of the War Crimes Research Center, lecturers also include senior staff from the ICTY, Alan Tieger, Senior Prosecuting Trial Attorney for the Office of the Prosecutor and one of the ICTY's founding lawyers; Norman Farrell, Principal Legal Officer responsible for providing the Prosecutor with direction and advice on all legal matters; and Catherine Marchi-Uhel, a French judge and currently the Head of the Appeals Chamber. The workshop was organized by the Asian International Justice Initiative (AIJI), a collaboration between the East-West Center, Hawaii and the War Crimes Studies Center at the University of California, Berkeley funded by a grant from the British Embassy in Phnom Penh.

The Internal Rules are being made available

The Internal Rules are being made available in the three official languages of the ECCC (Khmer, English and French) for comment from the general public over two weeks. They are posted on the internet at www.eccc.gov.kh, www.unakrt-online.org, and www.cambodia.gov.kh/krt/.
