Information about scheduling in Case 002/02

The Trial Chamber of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia has informed the parties to Case 002/02 that there will be no hearings during the week of 19-22 October 2015 immediately following the Pchum Ben judicial recess.

This adjournment was determined to be necessary based upon the requests of the parties to be given additional time to prepare for the appeal hearings in Case 002/01 scheduled for 16-18 November 2015. The adjournment was also determined to be necessary in order for the Chamber to finalise a number of important decisions on motions filed by the parties, which the Chamber considered should be issued before hearing any further witnesses in the case.
