On 20 November 2023, fourteen high school students and professors from the Norway’s Sund Folkehøgskole paid an official visit to the ECCC Resource Center. During the visit, an Information Officer of the Public Affairs Section (PAS) kicked off a meeting with a welcoming remark and briefed them about the Resource Center. Next, Mr. Sim Sorya, a legal consultant of the ECCC, briefly spoke about the historical context of ECCC as well as the court establishment and the negotiations. Followed by the presentation, Mr. Sann Rada, a ECCC’s legal officer took turn to speak about the contribution of the ECCC jurisprudence to the International Criminal Law. After that, Mr. Pich Ang, a national co-lead lawyer, provided an overview of the civil party participation during the trial. At the closing, Mr. Yar Rosart from PAS gave a final talk about the ECCC’s outreach activity during residual work. At the end, students said they were satisfied with the meeting and thanked ECCC for organizing a meaningful visit and informative sessions in which they had a chance to get a better insight and understanding of the ECCC’s judicial processes and works related.
