From 1 – 5 July 2024, Victims Support Section and Civil Party Lawyers made a trip to Takeo province alongside the ECCC’s Mobile Resource Centre Outreach Program. In total, 32 Civil Parties (F:15) were notified during the whole trip and provided with the books of summary judgments in case 002/01 and case 002/02 and the certificates of appreciation.
Our colleagues met with 22 Civil Parties at 4 schools, namely Hun Sen Ang Ta Som High School, Chea Sim Takeo High School, Sok An Tunlap High School, and Build Bright University; and coordinated them to join the ECCC’s outreach events and to have intergenerational dialogues with students at the premises of the schools.
To reach out to CPs who were not able to come the schools, the VSS’s staff travelled to 10 villages located at the surrounding areas. During the missions, 10 Civil Parties and the spouses or relatives of those who passed away or relocated elsewhere were met and notified.
The VSS will continue to travel to notify other remaining Civil Parties alongside the ECCC’s Mobile Resource Center Outreach Programme in the upcoming trips.
