The Court Report December 2009

The December 2009 issue of the Court Report features information on the conclusion of hearings for Case 001. The Court's first trial against a security centre chief ended in late November, demonstrating that a UN-assisted national tribunal could work to hold perpetrators of war crimes accountable for their actions. The Report also acknowledges the introduction of Independent Counsellor Uth Chhorn, who will provide confidential counselling services to staff, and the appointment of a new international Co-Prosecutor, Mr. Andrew T.
