Sentencing
If a defendant is found guilty of crimes prosecuted before the Extraordinary Chambers, the Trial Chamber or the Supreme Court Chamber (in case of appeal) will decide on the prison sentence. According to the ECCC Law, the minimum prison sentence is 5 years of imprisonment and the maximum is life imprisonment.<div><br></div><div>In accordance with Cambodian and international law, the time a defendant has been detained prior to a final judgement will be counted as part of the sentence he/she will to have serve.</div><div> </div>
