Sentencing

If a defendant is found guilty of crimes prosecuted before the Extraordinary Chambers, the Trial Chamber or the Supreme Court Chamber (in case of appeal) will decide on &nbsp;the prison sentence. According to the ECCC Law, the minimum prison sentence is 5 years of imprisonment and the maximum is life imprisonment.<div><br></div><div>In accordance with Cambodian and international law, the time a defendant has been detained prior to a final judgement will be counted as part of the sentence he/she will to have serve.</div><div>&nbsp;</div>
