Hearing schedule for the Pchum Ben holiday period

Week commencing Monday 8 October: Document hearings on administrative structures, recently scheduled in memorandum E233, shall commence after the conclusion of the evidence of TCW-428. The Trial Chamber will then recess for the Pchum Ben holiday on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 October 2012.

Week commencing Monday 15 October: The Trial Chamber will resume sitting after the Pchum Ben holiday on Thursday 18th October 2012. It will also sit on Friday 19th October of that week in order to facilitate conclusion of the previous week's document hearing.

Following the issuance of its memorandum E236/1, the Witness/Expert Support Unit has commenced efforts to ensure the availability of witnesses/Civil Parties on the priority list for population movement, for whom Ieng Sary has waived his right to be present. The Trial Chamber will indicate the order in which these individuals shall be heard shortly. The testimony of the first of these individuals is expected to commence during the week commencing Monday 22 October, following the conclusion of the above document hearings.
