Mr. PECH Chim told the Trial Chamber he joined the revolutionary movement in 1970 in District 105.

He was a former ‘deputy of the district front’ in Takeo province, which included in its jurisdiction the administration of the security centre Krang Tachang. He answered on distinctions between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ people and the executions of the latter, the role of the accused at study sessions, and his observations whilst working at the security centre.

Mr Nou, 78, worked in military and then as a commune official. He testified about the study sessions by senior KR leaders such as Chou Chet and Ta Mok, the treatment of Khmer Viet Minh, and the opinions of senior KR leaders regarding the evacuation of Phnom Penh six months prior to its occurrence.

Mr. LENG Chheoung told the Trial Chamber that he joined the revolutionary movement in late 1973. Mr Leng, 56, worked as a driver for Khieu Samphan from mid-1978 until the Vietnamese invasion in 1979. He testified about the movements of Khieu Samphan during the last few months of the Democratic Kampuchea regime.

Mr. Sim HAOtold the Trial Chamber he joined the revolutionary movement as a soldier in 1972, an that he arrive in Phnom Penh in 1975 three days after the city had fallen.

Mrs. SO Socheat is Khieu Samphan's wife.

Mr. TUN Seoun is Khieu Samphan's son-in-law and he was questioned about the character of the Accused.

Mr. SOK told the Trial Chamber that he used to be Khieu Samphan's bodyguard. He was called to testify primarily about Khieu Samphan's character.

Mr. Schanberg is a former New York Times correspondent who was in Phnom Penh when the Khmer Rouge took control on 17 April 1975. He testified via video-link from New York.

Mr. Prum Sou told the Chamber that he had been assigned by the Khmer Rouge to campaign in 1971. He said he was in Preah Vihear province on April 17, 1975.

Mr. CHAU Soc Kon was summoned to testify on Khieu Samphan's Character. He testified via video-link from France.

Mr. Philippe Jullian-Gaufres was summoned to testify related to the charachter of Khieu Samphan. He testified via video-link from France.

Mr. Ieng Phan told the Trial Chamber he joined the Khmer Rouge army  at the the age of 18 in 1970, following the public call from Norodom Sihanouk.

Mr. LIM Sat was a Khmer Rouge soldier in Pursat province. He provided testimony related to the alleged execution of Lon Nol soldiers at Tuol Po Chrey.

Mr. UNG Chhat told the Trial Chamber the he joined the revolutionary movement as a soldier in Pursat province. He testified about what he witnessed in relation to the capture of Lon Nol soldiers and their transportation from the town of Pursat to the alleged mass execution site at Tuol Po Chrey.

Mr. ROS Suy was in charge of a unit which oversaw warehouses during the Khmer Rouge regime.

Mr. CHUON Thi was a former Khmer Rouge battalion commander and deputy regiment commander.

Mr. CHHOUK Rin was a Khmer Rouge military commander testified about his interactions with Nuon Chea, the role of Khieu Samphan in the CPK and his understanding of the CPK command structure. Mr Chhouk also answered questions about what he witnessed during the evacuation of Kampot, the content and proceedings of CPK “study sessions” and the purges in his district.

On 7 May 1975, Francois Ponchaud was one of the last foreigners to leave Cambodia following the Khmer Rouge takeover on 17 April 1975. After having spent weeks in French Embassy compound in Phnom Penh, Mr. Ponchaud was deported by the new regime.  His book “Cambodia:Year Zero” was published in 1977.

Mr. CHHAOM told the Trial Chamber he joined the revolutionary movement in 1970, following the appeal by then Prince Norodom Sihanouk. He was a military commander for a company and participated in the attack on Phnom Penh in April 1975.

Mr. Rockoff, a war photographer, was one of the few western newsmen who remained  in Phnom Penh when the Khmer Rouge forces entered the city on 17 April 1975.

Mr. UNG told the Trial Chamber that he was a Khmer Rouge soldier who participated in the attack on Phnom Penh in April 1975.

Mr. Sor Vi (birthname SA Sarim) told the Trial Chamber that he was a security guard at K-1 in Phnom Penh (the place where Pol Pot stayed).

Mr.Suon Kanil worked as a telegraph decoder for the Khmer Rouge since 1971. He answered questions about the structure of relations in the Northwest and leadership in the region.

Mr.PHAN Van told the court he used to work in the autonomous Sector 105 decoding telegrams.

Mr. HUN Chhunly, 74, was a medical professional in Lon Nol army before Khmer Rouge came to power. His testimony is about what he witnessed in April 1975 after Khmer Rouge soldier took controle of Battambang Town.
