The Court Report April 2010

The April 2010 issue of the Court Report features confirmation that the 2010-2011 ECCC budget has been endorsed by donor countries and that the United States has pledged US$5 million to the ECCC for this same financial period. However, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister have also called for donors to provide more funding to the Khmer Rouge tribunal. On 25 March 2010 a senior Japanese government official visited the Court to assess the progress of the trials and the challenges ahead, and the report also features a story on the ECCC outreach programme, which regularly brings villagers to the Tribunal and S-21.
