<div><b>Article 7 Extinction of Criminal Actions</b></div><div><br></div><div>The reasons for extinguishing a charge in a criminal action are as follows:</div><div>1. The death of the offender;</div><div>2. The expiration of the statute of limitations;</div><div>3. A grant of general amnesty;</div><div>4. Abrogation of the criminal law;</div><div>5. The res judicata.</div><div>When a criminal action is extinguished a criminal charge can no longer be pursued or shall&nbsp;be terminated.</div>
